1963 Gibson ES-335

by Luke the Drifter on June 14, 2012

1963 Gibson ES-335 in Gold Sparkle in a no reserve auction. Seller states this at one point it had been stained “Hippie Brown” (we like that) and had the worst refret ever. The original pickups and hardware were long gone. Seller says as it was impossible to get the brown stain out the maple so he had it refinished Gold Sparkle by Marty Bell. The fretboard was replaced with a NOS ’60s Gibson fretboard. Seller adds the binding is original Gibson as well. All the other parts are Gibson reissue. With new Gibson case. Cool.
