It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue – Grateful Dead (San Francisco, CA – Juy 16, 1966)

This weeks’ entry in the Deadhead Corner Tune of the Day is another cover — Bob Dylan this time. It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue is a song the Dead played from the earliest days until the end. Here we have the band in July of 1966, playing at the Fillmore. This was before the band really started expanding their jams, although the roots of those explorations can be heard in places. Jerry has the vocals down. Check track 19, but feel free to explore some of the other tracks from this show, many of which feature songs that would soon disappear from the Dead’s set lists.
