This week’s edition of the Deadhead Corner Tune of the Day is “Wicked Path of Sin” by Old and In the Way, in honor of the passing of Earl Scruggs. Jerry Garcia was a huge fan of Scruggs, listing him as an early influence and the inspiration for his love of bluegrass music. Jerry joined David Grisman and Peter Rowan, along with bassist John Kahn and (eventually) Vassar Clements to form Old and In the Way. Here’s the band doing Wicked Path of Sin on October 8, 1973 from their album Live at the Boarding House:
