1936 Henry L. Mason CW-2

by Luke the Drifter on March 30, 2012

1936 Henry L. Mason CW-2 in a no reserve auction. These were made by Gibson and bear a lot of similarity to the Kalamazoo and Carson J. Robison lines Gibson was also producing at the time, as well as the Gibson L-00. Unlike the L-00, these are ladder braced and lack a truss rod. Seller puts it Very Good condition and says there is some slight bellying at the bridge (evident in the pictures). The action is 3/8 at 12. Seller doesn’t say anything about a case. A remarkably clean looking example. Very cool.
