Randy Newman – Louisiana 1927

by Luke the Drifter on March 5, 2012

Our Tune of the Day for Monday, March 5, 2012 is “Louisiana 1927” by Randy Newman from 1974’s Good Old Boys. A song about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 that eerily played out again with Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Aaron Neville does a spectacular cover of this but we prefer the original. Great tune, great set.
