1968 Gibson J-45 in Cherry in a no reserve auction. 1968 is getting toward the end of the line here with the original Gibson slope shouldered J-45s and J-50s. Seller says this one is a second and puts it in Good condition. Seller says the bridge looks like it has been re-glued and notes the saddle and the nut look to be bone. Looking at picture of the soundhole we can see this is stamped “J45-ADJ.” This one started out with an adjustable saddle; it looks like a (well done) fixed saddle was made and dropped in the slot in the bridge. A player improvement, and there looks to be a lot of saddle left. One could also probably but back an adjustable saddle fairly easily. Seller notes it has some touch up (pictured) around the soundhole. With non original soft case. A nice looking example in a fairly rare color. Very cool.
