Our Tune of the Day for February 11, 2012 is “Loving Cup (Alternate Take)” from the Rolling Stones’ “Exile on Main Street – Deluxe Edition” released in 2010. A bootleg version has been kicking around for years. That one has an additional bridge (clocking in at 6:31).
This was recorded at London’s Olympic Studios in 1969 when Mick Taylor was new to the band. An indication of things to come. Smoking.
