1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom

by Luke the Drifter on January 10, 2012

1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in a no reserve auction. These have a “pancake” Mahogany body. Seller says this guitar was not just owned by a smoker, it was a smoker. Lots of exposure to cigarette smoke. Seller also says the guitar appears to have been on permanent tour since ’78 and has its fair share of dings, scratches and buckle rash. One of the volume pots is noisy. Seller adds there are no apparent cracks, breaks or repairs to the neck or headstock, which has an identification number etched on the back. With what looks like the original Gibson chain saw case. Cool.
