1960s Supro Town and Country

Post image for 1960s Supro Town and Country

1960s Supro Town and Country in a no reserve auction. Seller is calling it a 1963 Supro. We think it’s a bit earlier, maybe a’61. Seller says the logo has been replaced. This one is kind of interesting as this could be an Airline (Montgomery Ward) Town and Country which someone put a Supro logo on. Legend has it however that Valco branded some of these Supro for sale in Canada. The Town and Country, which this definitely is, does not appear in Supro’s catalogs. Seller says both pickups work but the bridge pickup is weak and the electronics will need to be serviced. Seller adds the neck binding is cracked. With hard case. Cool. Maybe very cool.
