1959 Gibson ES-355

by Luke the Drifter on August 17, 2011

1959 Gibson ES-355 in a Cherry no reserve auction. Seller puts it in Good condition. Seller says the Bigsby is factory, as are the Grovers and the ABR. Seller also says the covers have been off and on the PAFs (we’re going to assume those are original too). The nut is not original and there is some fracturing of the neck binding. Seller adds all electronics function as they should and the Varitone is still wired up, but the wiring has been fooled with some (Stereo to Mono?). Seller notes the frets have a lot of oxidation, evident in the pictures. Looks to us like it hasn’t been played in a long time. There’s a pretty lengthy description on the listing. Check it out. With OHSC, which seller says is missing 3 feet. Very, very cool.
