1965 Airline 7049 Resonator in Black in a no reserve auction. Seller is calling this a 1960s Airline Folksinger. It’s very similar to the (also Valco produced) Supro Folkstar, but we don’t see any evidence that this guitar was called “Folksinger” by Airline (Montgomery Ward). So we’ll call it an 1965 Airline 7049. We base the ’65 on the fact it has two upper sound holes. These have a Res-O-Glas (Fiberglass body). Seller puts this one in Very Good condition with some minor cosmetic wear but no structural damage or repairs. We note that it is missing its sound hole inserts. Not unusual with these. With soft case. Cool.
