1930s Recording King Roy Smeck A104 in a no reserve auction. Made by Gibson for Montgomery Ward. Seller say’s it’s in fair condition with a moderate to severe playwear, dings and scratches. Take a look at the high resolution photos here. The model obviously shares quite a bit with the Gibson ES-150 (made famous by Charlie Christian) of the same era. One thing it does not share is a truss rod, which Gibson reserved for Gibsons. Nice looking guitar. We don’t see too many of these. With soft case. Very cool.
