1965 Gibson Dove in a no reserve auction. Seller states he puchased this guitar from Eldon Whitford, co-author of Gibson’s Fabulous Flat Top Guitars – An Illustrated History and Guide. Excellent book. Seller says this Dove appears on pages 118, 119 and 120. The guitar has some finish checking and a top crack repaired by Whitford himself. He doesn’t say if it comes with the case. Good photos. Very, very cool.
