1938 Martin 00-40H in a no reserve auction. Owned by Uncle Joe Johnson and purchased from the Johnson family. Quite a story here, best to read the description with the listing. The guitar has been back to Martin for some work over the course of it’s long life. It is still set up to be played Hawaiian. The guitar comes with an autograph book kept by Uncle Joe’s wife Odessa containing the inscriptions of numerous Opry legends including Bill Monroe, Judge Hay, Bocephus (as a 4 or 5 year old), Audrey, Minnie Pearl… Cool in spades.
