1950s Gibson J-45. No reserve auction here with about 5 hours to go. Seller say’s it’s possibly a ’54, we think a little bit later. Let’s call it ’50s. This one is interesting. We have never seen a J-45 with an inlayed headstock logo or the crown inlay on the headstock, both of which this one has. Seller states that there is an off center dot at the first fret added by a previous owner. Additionally, it has some fret wear and the adjustable saddle is not original. We’ll add that the tuners, while correct, look a bit shiny to us, maybe repos. Good description and photos here. Cool guitar. Auction worth watching.
