Early 1970s Yamaha FG-300

by Luke the Drifter on October 21, 2010

Here we have an Early 70s (possibly late 60s) “Red Label” Yamaha FG-300 in a no reserve auction. Yamaha’s take on a Gibson Hummingbird, no doubt. These are great sounding and playing guitars for what they are and cool looking to boot. This one would appear to be straight up with the exception of the case and probably has Brazilian Rosewood laminate back and sides. From the dawn of the age when “Made in Japan” started to mean “Quality.”
