1930s Kalamazoo KG-11

Kalamazoo was one of Gibson’s budget lines. We place this one in the early to mid 30s, when everyone was on a budget– kind of like now. We’re going to call it a KG-11 (“11” standing for 11 bucks retail) but please don’t hold us to that. These bear some similarities to Gibson’s LG-00 of the same period but are ladder braced and lack a truss rod. We find these great for fingerpicking blues. Spooky/Funky. This one is going to need some work, no doubt, including a new bridge,
