Our Tune of the day for Monday, March 25, 2013 is Hard To Handle by the Otis Redding. This was released in 1968 after Otis’ untimely passing. Lot’s of folks have covered this, some really well. But we’lll take the original. We’re not gonna fact check it, but that would be Steve Cropper on guitar. Just smoking.
1961 Airline Town & Country. This one has a reserve on it. We’ll make an exception to our “no reserve” rule here, as this is a cool looking piece and the “no reserve” pickins’ are a bit scarce today. Seller says the tuners have been replaced and the Bigsby may have been. Seller also says the neck is straight, the action is low and the original electronics function well. Seller adds there are some scratches on the back and sides. With ’60s faux alligator case. Cool.
